Roadmap

This roadmap shares what we intend to build through the remainder of 2025 and into 2026. It is not a timeline or a promise of release dates. Think of it as a transparent look at the features we are planning on our path to "Pixadom Public Version 1".

Our goal is to refine and complete existing features while implementing the remaining core systems, ensuring a well-rounded final product designed to sustain, retain, and continually attract players over the long term.

The order of items listed is not indicative of the order they will be developed or released - features may arrive earlier or later than their position on this page suggests.

Administrative

  • Forgot password feature.

  • Require email verification before allowing players to chat after registering.

Apartments / Player Housing

Helga as a fully fledged NPC

  • Dedicated dialogue and personality-driven interactions.

  • Questline focused on apartment life and creativity.

Apartments leaderboard

  • Highlights most liked, most favorited, and most populated rooms.

  • Monthly prizes for top 3 creators on the leaderboard.

Room information and controls

  • In-room display of the room name and description for easy context and editing.

  • Owners can edit room properties, including room rights.

  • Players can like or favorite a room from inside the room.

Layouts and teleporters

  • One additional free apartment layout to expand starter options.

  • At least three supporter-only room layouts.

  • Teleporters starting with a simple door teleporter, expanding into creative styles. Teleports will link one apartment to another.

Room rights and blocking

  • Owners can add or remove players to a permission list and set levels.

  • Extended block feature to prevent specific players from accessing a room.

Apartment events

  • Players can create, schedule, and advertise their own apartment events.

  • Event hosts earn rewards for successful events.

  • Post-event voting where attendees rate success; strong ratings grant a reward.

  • Bulletin board or town NPC promotes upcoming and live events.

  • Goal: increase apartment usage and equip event-loving players.

Shops & Items

Gem Shop expansion

  • New categories: hair, tops, pants, and themed furniture lines such as Mythical, Sci-Fi, Candy, Plastic.

  • More creative or interactive items to enable player-hosted events and drive desirability.

  • Broader avatar and apartment customization.

Coin / Free Shop

  • New hair and clothing options plus more free items to support free-to-play players.

  • Priority remains on paid content first for sustainability, followed by free items for balance.

Inclusivity: skin color options

  • Add at least two additional skin tones.

Social Features & UI Improvements

Friends and messaging

  • Add players as friends and manage your friends list.

  • Private messaging between players.

  • Security and moderation: report inappropriate messages.

  • Privacy controls: disable incoming messages or friend requests.

Settings menu

  • Control music and sound effect volume, chat enable or disable, and other general settings.

Speech bubbles

  • Show a speech bubble above avatars for short messages.

  • The message also appears in the chat history box.

Chat improvements

  • Allow players to expand the chat history box.

  • Add global chat to see messages from other areas.

  • Clickable messages for reactions.

  • Consider a social points system where positively reacted chat earns points for rewards.

Camera

  • Detach and freely control the camera, especially benefiting mobile users.

Engagement Systems

Daily login rewards

  • Streak-based rewards or a points-based system redeemable in a rewards shop.

Daily activities

  • Randomized tasks such as "Catch 20 fish" or "Harvest 5 plants" with special rewards.

Treasure Chests

  • Scattered chests found around the world, some requiring keys from puzzles.

  • Each chest contains a special item or reward.

Spaceship landing

  • At set times a supply ship lands in the main town.

  • Players compete in a combination-guessing minigame.

  • First to guess wins a bundle of space-theme items and drives activity.

Public Areas & Minigames

Main Town

  • Choose a name for the main town.

  • Top 3 monthly gopher leaderboard with prizes for 2nd and 3rd.

  • Show yarnbloom balances vs costs in NPC shops.

  • Add a clickable town map near the warp zone with player counts and a guiding path.

Free / Coin Shop interior

  • Complete interior redesign and add a dedicated NPC with better categorization.

Cafe

  • Interior redesign and new NPC.

  • Cooking-style minigame after interior work.

  • Optional roleplay: limited staff roles with outfits and serving actions.

Nightclub

  • Interior redesign and new NPC.

  • Music-themed minigame after interior work.

  • Carry and consume drinks for immersive roleplay.

Coral Cove

  • Finish remaining room design elements.

  • Add an additional minigame.

  • Expand Marlin's shop and add more rare fish.

Hugglehen Farms

  • Finish environmental design and furnishing.

  • Animals gain movement.

  • Fruit trees drop fruit at intervals.

  • More decorative objects for layout variety.

  • Additional seeds and expanded Daisy's shop.

Combat Systems

PvE combat: redesign and central portal

  • Remove puffles from main town and introduce a combat NPC plus a central portal hub.

  • Combat NPC runs a battle-gear shop and shows a defeats leaderboard with monthly trophies.

  • Portal to themed zones with level gates based on pixels, supporting multiple players.

  • Timed boss fights accessible via the portal.

  • Design goal: one hub that delivers varied, repeatable combat content.

Battlezone (PvP): paintball arena

  • Complete redesign into a fast, team-based arena.

  • Lobby for open or private matches and flexible team sizes.

  • Fixed-duration matches with power-ups for strategy.

  • Large scope feature targeted after earlier systems.

Other Planned Features

Additional features previously discussed will still be implemented in future updates; however, they are not required for the launch of "Pixadom Public Version 1". These include, but are not limited to:

Closing Notes

The features above focus on creativity, social connection, daily engagement, and approachable combat. Details may evolve during development, and priorities can shift as we learn from players. There are no fixed dates here, but this reflects our intended path toward a thriving, cozy world for everyone.
